Steinberg Nuendo 10 is an audio post-production software environment designed to provide versatile workflows, task efficiency, and integration with industry-standard tools for recording engineers, audio editors, sound designers, and mixers in television, music, game audio, VR, and post-production.

  • Search for field recorder audio files matching selected events in the project by choosing a set of predefined search criteria—a process which can otherwise take weeks of manual work
  • Upon importing field recorder audio files, they will be inserted into the project and edited to match the originally selected events
  • ADM files (such as those exported from the RMU or Dolby Atmos Production Suite Renderer software) can be imported into a new or existing Nuendo project with the object automation intact for further mixing or editing
  • VCD (Video Cut Detection) allows you to analyze video files for edits and insert markers for each one of those cuts
  • Support for dearVR Spatial Connect enables any sound designer, musician, or sound engineer to create and mix immersive 3D audio content directly in VR
  • Doppler plug-in provides a fast, straightforward way to simulate the perception of movement and distance of a sound and the changes in pitch as its source passes you, rising as it approaches and falling as it moves away
  • VoiceDesigner plug-in for sound designers to modify voices, with parameters including Detune, Formant, Preserve (allowing pitch shifting with formant preservation), Robot, Morph, and FX
  • Distroyer processor uses asymmetric distortion to add body, character, and harmonics to create everything from gentle analog warmth across a whole mix to hot distortion for kick drums
  • ARA 2 support integrates ARA-compatible plug-ins into the Editor, which gives you access to all editing functions of the corresponding plug-in
  • Improved Audio Alignment panel with more options and greater flexibility to synchronize different dialog recordings
  • Redesigned channel strip extends the functionality and usability of its modules, and incorporates new metering elements for direct visual feedback per module
  • Enhanced Direct Offline Processing panel with drag-and-drop support for insert plug-ins, MixConsole Insert Rack Headers, and FX-Plug-In Tiles
  • Improved Ambisonics monitoring via the AmbiDecoder, now with two new modes
  • Latency Monitor section in the MixConsole delivers enhanced latency control by showing the individual and overall latency of the effects chain
  • Drag and drop plug-ins and instruments to assign them
  • All plug-ins are now displayed as tiles representing their user interfaces
  • Record, import, export, and convert audio files with bit depths of 32-bit integer and 64-bit floating point
  • HiDPI support for high-resolution displays on current macOS computers
  • Automatch key command for punching out of Latch mode when writing automation
  • MixConsole Snapshots let you create alternative mixes and quickly compare the results; add notes, recall only EQ settings, or load all the settings of just one track
  • REVerence reverb plug-in with 20 new impulse responses of vintage analog and digital reverbs
  • Redesigned GUI for many plug-ins
  • Support for MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression); Nuendo automatically detects and configures the most common MPE controllers, and includes libraries of exclusively designed MPE-ready presets for Retrologue and Padshop
  • VariAudio 3 with Smart Controls, micropitch level, and adjustable formant shift
  • Simplified sidechaining with intuitive routing via just a few clicks
